Fürstenfeldbruck
Fürstenfeldbruck is located in the western outskirts of Munich, but is much more than a classic "bacon belt" location. The city benefits from its location between Munich, the district of Fürstenfeldbruck and the axes towards Augsburg and Ammersee. The Amper river characterizes the cityscape, as does the historic Fürstenfeld monastery area, which remains a central point of reference for identity and culture to this day.
The connections to Puchheim, Olching and further on to Munich are particularly relevant for residential orientation. Within Fürstenfeldbruck, the Zentrum, Buchenau and Puch in particular characterize the different residential areas. Puchheim can also be regarded as a nearby alternative location.
Fürstenfeldbruck is particularly interesting from a residential perspective because it combines urban infrastructure with a high quality of living. The large district town combines a quiet residential area with good transport links. At the same time, it offers a wide range of shopping facilities, restaurants, culture, sport and leisure activities - in other words, much of what one associates with an independent town rather than a classic suburban location.
At the same time, Fürstenfeldbruck is not uniform. Housing differs significantly depending on the location - from the historic core to mature districts and western residential areas such as Buchenau. There are extensive new development areas in the west of the city and in Buchenau. Fürstenfeldbruck offers not only Altstadt and monastery surroundings, but also more modern, family-oriented residential areas.
Typical resident groups are
| To the center (Marienplatz) | To the central station | To the airport |
|---|---|---|
| 31,0 km | 29,0 km | 56,0 km |
The city center is ideal for strolling around and running everyday errands. There is also a second shopping center in Buchenau with larger stores; weekly and farmers' markets bring regional products to the city.
Fürstenfeldbruck offers a good mix of cafés, restaurants, pubs and international offerings. Especially around the town center and the monastery area, it is easy to combine eating out, culture and walks.
The city offers plenty of choice for leisure and families: Walking and cycling paths along the Amper, the AmperOase with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and an ice rink, as well as facilities for children and young people. Schools, childcare and youth facilities are also well established as part of the town's infrastructure.
