This quarter, with its beautiful turn-of-the-century buildings and less attractive post-war buildings in between, used to be the bohemian side of town. This part of Schwabing is located on the westernmost edge of the quarter and borders on Luitpoldpark. Here you can find some of the most beautiful properties for rent, especially along Belgradstraße, the quarter's main traffic artery with many beautiful neorenaissance and art nouveau buildings. All shops for your daily needs as well as smaller boutiques, cafés, and also some restaurants can be found here. In the northern part of Belgradstraße, you can find Bad Georgenschwaige, a large but simple outdoor pool that is especially popular with locals in the summertime. Further to the west, you will reach Olympiapark, one of Munich's largest recreation areas that offers a large number of walking trails and sports facilities. The underground station Scheidplatz (U3) connects the quarter to the city center and the more distant outskirts.
