How was the start of your apprenticeship at Mr. Lodge for you?
Louisa: I moved to Munich from Trier, so it's a completely new situation for me here. I was immediately well integrated at Mr. Lodge, both in the landlord advice team and in the entire Mr. Lodge team. There was a company event right away where I was able to get to know some of my colleagues and I was warmly welcomed by everyone. I was also allowed to come along on appointments and so I already have a change from office work.

What do you like about training at Mr. Lodge?
Louisa: The variety of viewings, apartment checks, office work... and that I can already take on tasks myself. We also have a lot of international customers and it's exciting for me to get to know the different mentalities.

We were also trusted right from the start, which is a great feeling.

When you look back on your training time at Mr. Lodge: What's the first thing that comes to mind?
Kevin: Corona. During the first corona lockdown, the school was faced with a completely new situation, which meant that from that moment on I was confronted with a wide variety of school situations such as homeschooling, alternating lessons and lessons with distance and masks. At work, the training did not suffer under any circumstances during the lockdown, Lisa made it possible for me to work from home very early on and was able to convey all the important content through regular Zoom conferences and telephone calls.

What did you particularly like about the training at Mr. Lodge?
Kevin: The trust I received from Lisa relatively early on and the fact that I was given normal tasks, just like the permanent employees.

Why did you want to work as a permanent employee at Mr. Lodge after your apprenticeship?
Kevin: Because it's really fun, especially in the department, it's really cool.

How do you feel about the work-life balance at Mr. Lodge?
Kevin: Good. What's also a lot of fun at the moment is the opportunity to work in Rottach and also from home, because that works really well now. Thanks to the great colleagues, it often doesn't feel like work.

Kevin Radde began his training as a real estate agent in September 2019 and successfully completed it in summer 2021. He was of course taken on.

Marketing and communication

How was the start of your apprenticeship at Mr. Lodge for you?
Niklas: Good. Very pleasant. Because I was working from home, there weren't many people around. But those who were there took good care of me and got me off to a good start. Not too much and not too little.

What do you like about training at Mr. Lodge?
Niklas: The atmosphere here is very pleasant thanks to the flat hierarchies. Everyone, no matter which department they are from, wants to teach me something. Everyone is very open and friendly. And I like the fact that you are given your own tasks quite early on.

How do you like the working atmosphere at Mr. Lodge and how does it feel for you as a new employee at the company?
Niklas: Very, very good. You feel like you really belong. Everyone includes you, even during breaks. It's a mixed, open team where you quickly make friends.

As an apprentice, do you also experience all the internal communication or is news passed on among the department heads?
Niklas: I find out a lot, especially through circular emails from meetings. You are very involved right from the start.

Real estate photography

When you look back on your training time at Mr. Lodge: What's the first thing that comes to mind?
Vincent: I immediately remember that I was able to try out a lot and realize creative photo projects right from the start: in 2018, for example, I set up my equipment at 10 p.m. at 5 degrees at the Friedensengel and took pictures of the super moon or photographed the sunset on the Friendstower. I really appreciate having the time and opportunity to have such experiences.

What did you particularly like about the training at Mr. Lodge?
Vincent: I heard from my classmates that some of them had pretty poor working conditions: Their pay was tight and they spent a lot of time doing tasks such as setting up and dismantling or making coffee. I was able to start taking photos quickly at Mr. Lodge, my colleagues took a lot of time for me, supported me and shared their experiences with me.

Why did you also want to work as a permanent employee at Mr. Lodge after your apprenticeship?
Vincent: I was happy to take the opportunity of a secure income and there was no reason during the apprenticeship for me not to go into permanent employment afterwards.

How do you feel about the work-life balance at Mr. Lodge?
Vincent: It depends on the season. There's always a lot to photograph in summer because the weather is nice. In winter, we can work overtime again. I always think it's great to be busy, but some weeks are exhausting. Then you look forward to the weekend and enjoy your summer vacation.

Vincent Kracher successfully completed his training as a photographer in 2018. He was taken on directly by the team in the photography department and we now benefit from his excellent work.
