Unterföhring is located approx. 9 km north-east of Munich (Zentrum) and has a population of approx. 11,000. The community can look back on over 800 years of history. Unterföhring is located between the Isar river and the Feringasee lake and thus offers two leisure facilities that can be reached within a few minutes' walk. Thanks to its favorable infrastructure, the municipality is highly regarded as a business location today, with companies from the media and insurance sectors in particular having their headquarters here.

The residential development consists mainly of detached and terraced houses, although there are also numerous apartment buildings with apartments. Families appreciate the town for its many schools and good childcare facilities. The location is therefore rather quiet, but the S8 train stop ensures fast and convenient connections to the city center and the surrounding region.
