Ottobrunn is located approx. 13 km southeast of Munich (city center) and was originally created as a garden city just outside Munich. The number of inhabitants quickly grew to approx. 20,000, due to the good transport connection. Many businesses have also settled here.

During the postwar period, Ottobrunn became mainly known as a technology hub and developed quickly. To this day it still has the second highest population density of all German municipalities. However, one can still see Ottobrunn's rural origins: its main attractions are the "Waldschlösschen" and the picturesque church of St. Otto. In terms of recreation, Ottobrunn offers the Phönix-Bad, a leisure and wave pool, and the landscape park Hachinger Tal, which is ideal for excursions and walks. The S-Bahn station S7 Ottobrunn provides a good connection to central Munich and the surrounding areas.
Due to its population density Ottobrunn has some nice objects for temporary rental. Both furnished apartments and houses can be found here. Although the community lies outside of Munich, it has a perfect, independent infrastructure with schools and a wide range of cultural activities. If you have not found the right property here, then it is worth taking a look at the neighboring communities of Neubiberg, Hohenbrunn and Taufkirchen.
Unfurnished apartments can be found on Immoscout24 (unfortunately only in German language). The Immoscout24 app, is also available in English.
