Feldmochinger See
Feldmoching is located in the district 24 Feldmoching-Hasenbergl, the northernmost and second largest district of Munich in terms of area. The district covers a large area of around 2,900 hectares and is comparatively sparsely built-up. Feldmoching, Hasenbergl, Ludwigsfeld and Lerchenau together form an urban area that offers significantly more open space than many other parts of Munich.
This is particularly attractive for prospective residents: Feldmoching conveys a feeling of living within the city that you would otherwise expect to find on the outskirts or in the surrounding area. Plenty of space, open structures and a lower density characterize the district here.
Feldmoching is more versatile as a residential location than its location on the outskirts of Munich might initially suggest. The district combines an old village center, agricultural outskirts, quiet residential areas and modern apartment and terraced houses. This creates a residential landscape that is both mature and varied.
The interplay of historical structures, open spaces and later residential areas is particularly characteristic. As a result, Feldmoching not only appears green and spacious, but also independent and with a strong identity. For prospective residents, this creates an environment that combines tranquillity, proximity to nature and a Munich city feel.
Feldmoching is a particularly attractive residential location for families. The district has a broad structure of daycare centers, nurseries and elementary school. This offer is supplemented by various educational institutions in and around Feldmoching, including several elementary school, houses for children and the Feldmoching grammar school on Georg-Zech-Allee, which is currently under construction .
The district thus offers good conditions for everyday family life. Childcare, school and living can be easily combined here without Feldmoching losing its quiet and rather relaxed character.
Feldmoching is particularly interesting for:

Shopping in Feldmoching is primarily geared towards everyday needs. In the established town center, there are smaller stores and local offerings, complemented by agricultural structures in the surrounding area. This fits in well with the character of the district: manageable, practical and much quieter than classic Munich shopping districts.
The gastronomy in Feldmoching tends to be down-to-earth and close to home. Instead of dense nightlife areas, there are smaller restaurants, cafés, bars and pubs that blend in well with the everyday life of the district. This creates a quiet, neighborly atmosphere, especially around the old town center.
Feldmoching's greatest recreational value lies in its natural surroundings. Feldmoching Lake, Fasaneriesee and Lerchenau Lake form the three-lake plateau and offer many opportunities for swimming, walking, cycling and relaxing. The offer is complemented by sports clubs, mini golf, a shooting club and other activities in the district.
