Karlsfeld - the modern small town

Location and local recreation
Karlsfeld is located approx. 17 km northwest of Munich (Zentrum). The town developed in the 19th century as a result of the urbanization of the areas between Munich and Dachau. Karlsfeld is named after a son of the then King Max Joseph, the brother of the later Ludwig I. The population of the former village rose sharply, especially in the post-war years, to almost 19,000 inhabitants today. The Prinzenpark, Waldschwaigsee, Karlsfeld Lake and the Würm are some of the most beautiful recreational areas in the region.

Infrastructure and transport links
Karlsfeld quickly transformed from a small community into a suburb with its own infrastructure. In addition to the residential area, which consists of apartment buildings and detached and multi-family houses, there is also a commercial area where large companies such as MAN have settled. In general, the town offers many beautiful properties in an environment that offers a lot of peace and quiet and yet impresses with its fast and uncomplicated connections to Munich. The Bavarian capital can be reached via the A8, as can many other destinations in the surrounding area. The town is connected to the Munich S-Bahn network via the S2 Munich-Karslfeld stop.

There are also nice amenities in Dachau, Feldmoching and Untermenzing.
