Development
Siemens AG and other well-known companies shaped Obersendling as an industrial location for a long time. Today, it is a flourishing district with a good infrastructure and the popular residential quarter "Südseite". The district also offers the "Junges Quartier Obersendling", with educational and counseling services for teenagers and young adults, as well as the Café Netzwerk. The new sports park for recreation and relaxation in the countryside was inaugurated in 2019.
Transport connections
Obersendling is a fantastic example of modern urban planning and combines history with modernity. The district is also not far from the Isar. Both the S7 (Siemenswerke stop) and the U3 at the Obersendling stop connect the district to Munich city center and the surrounding region. Similar services are also available in the districts of Thalkirchen, Mittersendling and Solln.
