Bogenhausen
Bogenhausen forms the north-eastern segment of Munich. Officially, the district comprises Bogenhausen, Oberföhring, Johanneskirchen, Englschalking, Denning, Daglfing and Zamdorf. This means that the district begins very close to the city center and extends far into the northeast of Munich.
In residential terms, this is a decisive advantage: depending on the sub-area, you either live very close to the city center and the Isar or in quieter, more residential areas with more space and greenery.
Bogenhausen benefits greatly from its location between several important residential areas in Munich. To the south-west there are close links to Lehel and Au-Haidhausen, to the south and south-east to Berg am Laim and other residential areas to the east. Unterföhring and the north-east of Munich are adjacent to the north.
Alt-Bogenhausen, Herzogpark, Arabellapark, Oberföhring, Denning, Daglfing and Zamdorf are particularly relevant for orientation within the district. These sub-areas are often perceived more concretely in everyday life than the overarching name Bogenhausen alone.
Bogenhausen is one of Munich's districts that is particularly characterized by its quality of location, reputation and architectural diversity. Old Bogenhausen is considered a large, prestigious district of villas and apartment buildings. As it was largely spared major war damage, its original character has been well preserved to this day.
Next to it are the post-war and extension districts, which were mainly built outside the Mittlerer Ring. They have significantly expanded Bogenhausen both spatially and socially. It is precisely this mix that is important for prospective residents: in the west and in the southern core area, Bogenhausen often appears prestigious and characterized by old buildings. Further east and north, the district is more everyday-oriented, residential and spacious.
The Arabellapark and Parkstadt Bogenhausen are modern, urban sub-areas with their own infrastructure. This makes Bogenhausen suitable both for classic premium living requirements and for people looking for an upscale, well-connected residential area with more everyday suitability.
Bogenhausen is therefore often of particular interest to:
| To the center (Marienplatz) | To the central station | To the airport |
|---|---|---|
| 9,1 km | 10,6 km | 32,9 km |
Bogenhausen offers good local amenities with supermarkets, pharmacies, drugstores, smaller stores and some more exclusive addresses. Around Rosenkavalierplatz and Arabellapark in particular, residents will find many everyday amenities. For a property in Bogenhausen, this combination of a quiet residential environment and good amenities is an important locational advantage.
The gastronomy in Bogenhausen matches the character of the district: high-quality, diverse and quiet rather than trendy. In addition to cafés and restaurants, there are numerous addresses that fit in well with the upscale lifestyle. Anyone looking to rent or buy an apartment in Bogenhausen benefits from an environment that combines culinary offerings with an overall very pleasant quality of living.
Bogenhausen also impresses with its location when it comes to leisure activities. Its proximity to the Isar, the Maximiliansanlagen, the Denning Anger and other green spaces creates plenty of room for walks, sport and recreation. Especially for people looking for a central yet green residential area, Bogenhausen offers a strong advantage on the Munich real estate market.
