The history of Weßling begins around 800 years ago, when it was first mentioned in a document in 1217/1218 as Wezzilingen. Today, the municipality has around 5500 inhabitants and sees itself as a community of artists, as renowned artists such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir found inspiration here.
The town is particularly attractive for families thanks to its numerous daycare centers and the elementary school, which will open in 2023. The small town is also well connected in terms of transport, both for drivers thanks to its proximity to the A96 and for public transport thanks to the S8 S-Bahn line and numerous bus routes.
