Walchensee
The climatic health resort Walchensee is a part of the municipality Kochel am See in the district Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The Walchensee is enclosed by about 27 km. It is considered one of the most beautiful German lakes due to its turquoise color and is therefore also called the "Bavarian Caribbean".
Throughout all seasons, Lake Walchensee is popular with vacationers and day trippers alike due to its many sights and excursion destinations. Around the lake there are numerous swimming spots, some of which offer barbecue facilities. Its unique location between the mountains creates a distinctive thermal effect during the summer months in sunny weather above the heated slopes of the Herzogstand and the Jochberg, which is especially appreciated by windsurfers and sailors. During the winter season, Lake Walchensee is the perfect place for leisurely hikes.
Unfurnished apartments can be found on Immoscout24 (unfortunately only in German language). The Immoscout24 app, is also available in English.
