Neubiberg
Neubiberg is located directly on the south-eastern border of the Bavarian capital of Munich and belongs to the district of Munich. According to the district, the municipality is divided into the districts of Neubiberg and Unterbiberg and currently has a population of around 14,500. This location is particularly attractive for prospective residents because Neubiberg clearly benefits from Munich's urban structure, but at the same time remains an independent municipality with its own town center, its own infrastructure and plenty of open space.
Ottobrunn, Unterhaching, Taufkirchen and Putzbrunn are particularly relevant for orientation. Neubiberg is located at an interface between the dense south-eastern Munich settlement area and open spaces in the Hachinger Valley. This is a real advantage from a residential perspective: you live in a very well-connected location without having to forego green spaces and quieter neighborhoods.
Neubiberg is more diverse in terms of residential structure than its mere proximity to Munich would suggest. The district explicitly describes the town as a municipality with strong institutions such as the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and large company locations such as Infineon / Campeon. At the same time, municipal documents show that Neubiberg is strongly thought of in terms of town centers, main streets, proximity to the train station and residential neighborhoods. This is central to the residential perspective: Neubiberg is not just a place to sleep, but a place with real everyday and working logic.
A special profile feature is the university connection. The municipality refers to the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich between the districts of Neubiberg and Unterbiberg; official university websites clearly state that the university is located in Neubiberg. Official sources also refer to Neubiberg as the only university community in Germany. This is a strong differentiating feature, as it means that not only families and commuters, but also university and research connections can be credibly taken into account.
Neubiberg is particularly interesting for:
| To the center (Marienplatz) | To the central station | To the airport |
|---|---|---|
| 13,0 km | 14,6 km | 46,5 km |
Neubiberg is solidly positioned for everyday life. In addition to local retail and services, the organic market in the Umweltgarten is a good local anchor that underlines the local supply character.
Neubiberg also offers more in terms of gastronomy than you might expect from a smaller surrounding community. Restaurants, hotel restaurants and other addresses are listed in the official business directory, which speaks for an offer that is both suitable for everyday use and pleasantly diverse.
Neubiberg is particularly well positioned for families. In addition to childcare and three elementary school, the municipality offers a wide range of educational opportunities; there is also the municipal sports center, more than 20 public playgrounds and football pitches as well as a fun park in the Hachinger Tal landscape park.
