Englschalking
Englschalking belongs to district 13 Bogenhausen and is located in the north-eastern segment of the city. This means that the district is located in an area of Munich that stretches from the edge of the city center to the city limits. This is precisely what is interesting from a residential perspective: Englschalking appears much quieter and less dense in many places than neighborhoods close to the city center, but at the same time is clearly integrated into Munich's urban space.
A major advantage of the location is the combination of a village center and more open surroundings. The listed village center is grouped around St. Nikolaus, while large agricultural areas dominate to the west. This creates a feeling of living that is comparatively rare in Munich: quiet, green and yet with quick connections to other parts of the city.
Englschalking is closely connected to several neighboring residential areas. Denning, Daglfing and Johanneskirchen are particularly close by and are explicitly mentioned as adjacent or nearby alternatives on the existing Mr. Lodge page. Anyone looking to rent or buy an apartment in Englschalking therefore benefits not only from the district itself, but also from short distances to neighboring districts with additional infrastructure and other leisure facilities.
Englschalking combines different types of housing in a small area. The existing Mr. Lodge site describes the district as a residential area dominated by detached and terraced houses; in addition, Cosimapark and Fidelio are large-scale residential complexes with multi-storey houses and expansive green spaces. It is precisely this mix that makes the district interesting from a residential perspective: it is neither a pure village nor a uniform new-build district, but a district with different residential profiles.
Englschalking is also exciting from an urban planning perspective. The City of Munich's KulturGeschichtsPfad (CulturalHistoryTrail) notes that the Cosimapark and Fideliopark residential complexes were built in the 1960s and that modern development has since moved closer to the historic village center around St. Nikolaus. This explains the current character of the district: old core, newer residential development and a surprisingly green environment overall.

Englschalking is well equipped for everyday needs. The Mr. Lodge website lists a number of stores and supermarkets. This is an important advantage, especially for a rather quiet residential district, because many trips can be made close to home.
The gastronomic offerings in Englschalking are also more residential than trendy - a few cafés and restaurants. This fits in well with the character of the district: quiet, practical and without a distinctly nightlife character.
One of Englschalking's great advantages is its access to open space - extensive agricultural land to the west and numerous local recreational and sports facilities. There is also the Englschalking district sports facility, which has facilities for various types of sport. This means that everyday exercise is within easy reach.
