Schwanthalerhöhe - Traditional and modern
Development
This district is located above the Theresienwiese, which is best known for the annual Oktoberfest. The cityscape is characterized in part by old buildings dating from before 1920, some of which have been extensively renovated in recent years. Schwanthalerhöhe has undergone a transformation since 1998. Luxurious new apartments, office parks and green spaces have been built and are modernizing the cityscape. Nevertheless, Schwanthalerhöhe and the adjoining Westend are among the more affordable residential areas in Munich.
Location
The district is quite centrally located and very well connected to the public transportation network thanks to the U4 subway stop Schwanthalerhöhe. However, there is also no shortage of recreational areas in the immediate vicinity: Bavariapark offers residents a wide range of leisure and sports facilities. The convenient location and urban flair are making Schwanthalerhöhe increasingly popular. The proximity to Theresienwiese and Munich's city center further enhance this traditional working-class district.
Similar apartments are also available in the Laim, Westend and Theresienhöhe districts.
