The suburban garden town of Waldperlach has grown with history and is now part of the Perlach district. People first settled in the area surrounding the "Wald-/Leiberheim" were members of the first infantry regiment in 1911.

Development
The suburban garden settlement of Waldperlach is a historically evolved district and part of Perlach. From 1911, the area around the Wald- or Leiberheim was settled by members of the infantry body regiment. In the 1950s, a housing estate with detached houses was built here. Today, the area is characterized by well-preserved detached and semi-detached houses as well as smaller residential and green areas.
Special features
Waldheimplatz marks the center of the green district. The romantic location of the district is also reflected in the street names in Waldperlach: the majority of the streets bear the names of well-known fairy tale characters or authors. In addition to the picturesque residential area, residents of Waldperlach can enjoy various recreational areas and leisure facilities such as the Trudering Forest, Perlach Park and Ostpark with its ice skating rink and Michaeli swimming pool. Due to the village-like structures, there is also a diverse club life and a very lively pub culture. The S7 at the Perlach Süd and Neubiberg stations makes it possible to reach the city center and outlying districts in just a few minutes.
