Living in Forstenried
Quiet life in the south of Munich
A large number of shops, doctors' offices, cultural venues, and restaurants around the U-Bahn station "Forstenrieder Allee" and, further south, around the Hl. Kreuz church, which also attracts many pilgrims, form the centers of this neighborhood. Forstenried also offers several beautiful farm houses from past centuries, some of which have been restored extensively.

Location and special features
A large number of stores, surgeries, event venues and restaurants have established themselves around the Forstenried Allee subway station. Further south is the beautiful Heilig Kreuz parish church, which attracts many pilgrims and also marks the old town center. Forstenried also boasts some beautiful farmhouses from past centuries, some of which have been extensively restored. Forstenried Park is one of Munich's most popular recreational areas. With 43 kilometers of cycle and walking paths, it offers enough space for joggers and cyclists as well as inline skaters and even amateur riders. Despite this idyllic location, Munich's city center can be reached relatively quickly via the U3 underground line, and the A95 slip road is only a few minutes away by car.
Development
Forstenried, with its relatively well-preserved old village center, consists mainly of residential areas. From the 1950s onwards, several large housing estates were built here as part of social housing, but smaller terraced, detached and multi-family houses can also be found here. In general, it is a quiet residential area that offers many opportunities for retreat. Haven't found a suitable apartment here?
