Location and history
The municipality of Moosinning with around 3,200 inhabitants is located in the Munich region in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding. Between 1634 and 1650, many of the town's inhabitants died of the plague. The plague chapel was built in 1651 by eleven survivors in honor of Saints Sebastian and Rochus. The chapel was extensively renovated in 2001 to mark its 350th anniversary.
