Eichenau
Eichenau is located in the east of the Fürstenfeldbruck district and is clearly part of the western Munich commuter area. Official municipal websites emphasize the excellent connections via the S4, bus lines and the A8, A99 and A96; at the same time, the municipality explicitly describes Eichenau as a location with high residential and leisure value.
This is a key advantage for prospective residents: the town is close enough to Munich, but is much quieter and smaller than many urban locations.
Fürstenfeldbruck, Puchheim and Olching are important points of reference in the area surrounding Eichenau. The transportation map also shows the town in the direct vicinity of Puchheim, Emmering and Roggenstein and makes it clear how closely Eichenau is integrated into the western Munich area.
Eichenau is not an anonymous suburban settlement, but a mature residential area with a clear family logic. The town is characterized by detached houses, semi-detached houses and terraced houses; at the same time, it has a garden city character and a high residential value. This is precisely what is decisive for its positioning: Eichenau stands less for urban density than for quiet, structured living with plenty of green space and a functioning everyday life.
Eichenau is particularly strong for target groups who do not want to live as centrally as possible, but with very good connections. There are also good school structures such as the Starzelbachschule, Josef-Dering-Grundschule and open all-day school and childcare facilities. This is a real argument for living here, as the town offers a robust everyday infrastructure over and above the pure advantages of its location.
Eichenau is particularly interesting for:
| To the center (Marienplatz) | To the central station | To the airport |
|---|---|---|
| 24,4 km | 22,4 km | 50,3 km |
Eichenau offers a solid local supply for daily needs. In the town center and along the main street, there are grocery stores, bakeries, butchers, beverage stores and smaller vendors. The offer is supplemented by the weekly market around the Rathauswiese.
Puchheim, Germering, Fürstenfeldbruck or Munich are ideal for larger purchases or more specialized product ranges.
The gastronomy in Eichenau is manageable, but offers a solid basis for everyday life. The FLORI Cafe Restaurant Bar, the Bürgerstuben in the Friesenhalle, the Cortina ice cream parlor as well as club restaurants and other restaurants in the town center and around the train station are just a few examples.
There is therefore plenty of choice for a visit to a café, a simple dinner or a meal in the local area. If you are looking for more choice, head for Puchheim, Fürstenfeldbruck, Germering or Munich.
The bathing lake is not a marginal topic in Eichenau, but part of the everyday leisure infrastructure. There is also the lake running trail, the fitness trail and other local recreational facilities. For many prospective residents, it is precisely this combination that is attractive: not only living, but also finding exercise, balance and greenery directly in the town.
