Vaterstetten
Vaterstetten is located approx. 19 km east of Munich (Zentrum). The town dates back to a settlement from the 7th century, but has since lost its former village character.
Today's municipality of Vaterstetten only came into being with the municipal area reform in 1978. Before that, Vaterstetten, together with the current districts of Hergolding, Neufarn, Parsdorf, Purfing and Weißenfeld, formed the municipality of Parsdorf. Despite its quiet location, Vaterstetten has been perfectly connected to public transport since the 19th century. Thanks to the S4 train stop, the town center and the suburbs further out can be reached easily and quickly.
The residential development in the municipality consists mainly of multi-storey apartment buildings and terraced houses from the 1960s and 1970s, which house many furnished rental apartments. However, there are also some older detached houses with gardens along the railroad line. Vaterstetten benefits from a quiet, green location, making it particularly suitable for families. Beautiful properties for temporary living can also be found in the surrounding communities of Feldkirchen, Kirchheim and Zorneding.
