Perlach - surrounded by nature

History of Perlach
The name of the district of Perlach is derived from the word peralohc ( pera= boar, loh= light forest). Before the establishment of the independent municipality in 1818, Perlach was divided among various landlords. The baroque parish church of St. Michael marks the old village center, which has largely retained its original character.

Infrastructure
There is no shortage of green spaces either: to the south of Perlach is the Hachinger Tal landscape park, and to the south-west is the Perlach Forest, a large wooded area that offers numerous exciting hiking and walking trails. The Ostpark, created in 1969, is also a beautiful recreational area. To the north is the Michaelibad, Munich's largest leisure pool. Shopping enthusiasts will be particularly pleased with the proximity to the Perlach PEP shopping center.

Transport links
Nowadays, the district is combined with neighboring Ramersdorf as the 16th district and offers a large selection of apartments. There are similar offers in the neighboring districts of Ramersdorf, Neuperlach and Giesing. The Neuperlach Zentrum station on the U5 underground line connects the district to the public transport network, while the S7 and U5 Neuperlach Süd station also provides quick and easy access to outlying districts further afield.
