Schwabing - Leopoldstrasse
Schwabing, with its beautiful turn-of-the-century buildings and less attractive post-war buildings in between, used to be the Bohemian side of town. Its proximity to University makes this neighborhood is very popular among students. It is also a very prestigious address for lawyers, insurance companies, and physicians, and a sought-after address for apartment rental.
The former artists' quarter with its beautiful old buildings, between which stand the less attractive post-war buildings, is particularly popular with students due to its proximity to the university. In addition, many lawyers, insurance companies and doctors have a prestigious address here.
The part of Schwabing to the left of the famous Leopoldstraße stretches as far as Infanteriestraße in the south, Olypmiapark in the west and Milbertshofen in the north and is by far the largest section of the district, where a large number of beautiful properties can be found. Three subway stations provide residents of this large district with public transport connections: Scheidplatz, Bonner Platz and Hohenzollernplatz. They also form the centers of public life in Schwabing with numerous smaller and larger stores, cafés and restaurants. This part of Schwabing is also home to the Munich Hospital and Luitpoldpark. With its 33 hectares of green space and the adjacent Georgenschwaige outdoor pool, the park offers an extensive and varied recreational area for the residents of Schwabing to the left of Leopoldstraße.
