Schwabing - Nord
This quarter, with its beautiful turn-of-the-century buildings and less attractive post-war buildings in between, used to be the bohemian side of town. Since the university is located here, this neighborhood is very popular among students. It's also a very prestigious address for lawyers, insurance companies, and physicians.
The former artists' quarter of Schwabing, with its beautiful old buildings interspersed with less attractive post-war buildings , is particularly popular with students due to its proximity to the university. Many lawyers, insurance companies and doctors have a prestigious address here.
This part of Schwabing is located in the far west of the district and borders Luitpoldpark. Some of the most beautiful properties can be found here. Belgradstrasse, the district's main thoroughfare, boasts many beautiful buildings in the neo-Renaissance and Art Nouveau styles. Here you will find all the stores you need for your daily needs, as well as smaller boutiques, cafés and a few restaurants. To the north of Belgradstraße is Bad Georgenschwaige, a large but simple outdoor pool that is particularly popular with the residents of Georgenschwaige in summer. Further to the west is the Olympiapark, one of Munich's largest recreational areas, which offers a variety of walking paths and sports facilities. The Scheidplatz stop (U3 ) provides excellent connections to the city center and the outlying districts of Munich.
