The part of Schwabing to the right of Leopoldstraße is by far the smaller, but also the more exclusive part of the quarter.
The part of the Schwabing district to the right of Leopoldstrasse is by far the smaller, but also more exclusive part of the district.
Schwabing's image to the right of Leopoldstrasse is clearly dominated by old buildings and villas and borders directly on the English Garden. This location makes the district one of the most sought-after addresses, as it is both very centrally located (the university and Münchner Freiheit stops can be reached in a few minutes) and very quiet due to the many small streets and borders directly on Munich's most popular recreational area. Schwabing to the right of Leopoldstrasse has only a few stores due to its small size, but many small cafés, boutiques and restaurants can be found directly on Leopoldstrasse or in Schwabing to the left of Leopoldstrasse.
