The Berg am Laim district in the east was incorporated into Munich in 1913. Measured by the number of inhabitants, Berg am Laim is one of the smallest districts in Munich. The beautiful St. Michael's Church in rococo style is also the historical center of the district, where some older buildings have been preserved. Berg am Laim is also rich in green spaces: Piusplatz, Behrpark and Michaelianger offer idyllic retreats and invite you to relax.

The newly built "Werksviertel" enriches the district with a wide range of cultural, gastronomic and sports facilities. Berg am Laim has excellent transport connections: S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram and several bus lines connect the district with the city center. The airport is also not far away with the S-Bahn line S8.
There are mainly newer residential developments, some single-family houses as well as apartment buildings and some industrial areas. Despite its distance to the city center, Berg am Laim has a very good location for long-term rental. If you have not found a suitable furnished apartment here, then it is worth taking a look at the neighbouring districts of Denning and Trudering.
