History and development
Solln was an independent municipality until 1938, when it was incorporated into Munich's district 19. It borders Obersendling to the north and the independent municipality of Pullach and Forstenried Park to the south. In addition to a few exclusive residential complexes, Solln is mainly home to older detached houses and villas with spacious gardens, some of which also house doctors' surgeries and law firms. Solln is therefore considered one of Munich's upmarket districts and the properties in this district are correspondingly sought-after.
Infrastructure
The center of this upscale district is Fellererplatz with good shopping facilities, cafés and restaurants. The proximity to the Isar is another factor that makes the district so attractive. The banks of the Isar are just a few minutes' walk away and are ideal for swimming and barbecues in summer and for walks all year round. The district is connected to the city's S-Bahn network via the München-Solln stop on the S7 and S20 lines, which can be used to reach the city center as well as districts and towns further out.
